Subluxations, which are, misalignments in the vertebrae of the spine can occur at any age, even as young as during the birthing process. When a baby is delivered, the yanking of the baby through the birthing canal can cause whiplash. As the child grows older, simple everyday accidents such as falling off a bicycle or tripping can cause misalignments to occur. Children, not knowing any better, go about their life adapting to the changes that have occurred in their body by altering their posture. This may cause the spine to curve in ways that are not natural, causing scoliosis. As these spinal misalignments are not corrected, different nerves may be choked or impinged, reducing their ability to send and receive messages from the brain and other parts of the body. This in turn can manifest into different conditions such as, cholic, otitis media (ear aches), bed wetting, and asthma to only name a few. The spine can also begin to degenerate as the child reaches his thirties, causing chronic back pain and other painful symptoms and conditions. By receiving Chiropractic care from birth, a person's spine can remain stress free for their entire life, helping keep their immune system functioning stronger, and maintaining proper posture.
